I am thinking of buying an edition 30 or a gti. I know I will be able to get a lower mileage gti for my money, but what sort of mileage eddie could I be looking at getting for £9000.
-
70k mile Ed30 or maybe lower is in your price range :happy2:
But buy on condition rather than mileage. Plenty of sheds out there with low miles, and plenty of high mile cars that are like new: http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,89950.0.html

Yeah good point, I think I want the k04 as less needed for good power plus hold their value better than a normal gti. Would you say 70k is ok if it had been well looked after fsh and so on.

Mine has 72k now and runs just fine. Niki @ R-Tech has 120k on his ed30, it doesn't stop him pushing the limits of it and he ain't broke it yet :signLOL:
The car in the link above has 167k and looks like it's barely done 67k.
FSH and a stack of receipts is what you want :happy2:

totally depends on spec, mods, gearbox...... oh and its nearly christmas so no one will be buying. gives you more bargaining
someone just sold one on here for 13k
-
70-80k. id be looking for FSH or FVWSH
-
I would be looking for a dsg standard or modified. 60k i would be hoping for really
-
I just got myself a Pirelli edition with good spec 5dr, dsg, rns510, mfsw, cruise, fsh, with 70000 on the clock for just over £9000 and it looks and drives fantastic.only thing missing was xenons
-
Sounds a good buy was that of the forum?
-
Probably not it would have been 13.5k on here
-
I always think my 3dr 08 eddy in white was a bargain I paid £10k with 44k on the clocks.
That was 6 months ago.
-
That does sound a good deal

Mine has 67k and in two years of my ownership has had all the suspension changed, refurbed brakes, second cambelt kit & routine maintenance gone mental.
Look at each car individually rather than rule in or out due to mileage I would say.

Mine's around 75k. I can think of very few parts on it that are more than 10k old.
Serviced every 5k, 2 Cambelt changes...

I paid 9k for my 07 DSG Eddy 6 months ago, 73k with FVWSH and a stack of receipts so I'm sure you'll be able to find one.
