Hi guys, I've just been out messing with a new head unit in the mk5 which is currently parked up and it's nearly killed the battery, when trying to start it does the usual half a turn then all the lights go off etc. This isn't a problem as I'll just put it on charge but when I got out my remote central locking isn't working at all, non of the buttons have any effect. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to sort it?
Cheers

Should work again when the battery is charged. What head unit did you install?

Yeh once the battery is that low the central locking dies so you have to use the keyhole, be careful sometimes when the battery gets that low the alarm will go off, mine went off early once and woke a few people up.

Hopefully it will do. It's an 8" screen android based one, it's pretty epic but that's going to be for another thread :happy2:

Look forward to the review

Hopefully I'll have it all sorted and ready to review at the weekend. I've only had my mk5 2 weeks but I'm not driving it yet (waiting on the logbook) hence why the battery has ended up dead.
