Title: Fitting heated leather to a car with no wiring for the heated leather
Post by: Fal_r32 on November 21, 2014, 11:22:09 am
A bit of help and guidance needed here.  I have 2 Golf TDi's, I want to swap the interior out from one to another, problem is the car the heated leather is coming out of has no climate control, just the normal air con, and the car the leather is going into has climate control but no heated seat switches.   I need to know exactly what I need to remove from the car with the leather to make it as easy as possible for me to carry out the retrofit, any thoughts on this please?, I know I will require a climate control panel with the heated buttons, but what else?, is there another way around this, i.e. separate buttons?, also the car the leather is coming out of has the front armrest which will also be swapped over, but it house the CD changer, will this be compatible with my RCD300 i.e. plug and play?

Sorry for so many questions andhope it makes sense.

Thanks

you will need to remove the heated seats loom out of the car, The wires will be going to the following:

3 wires going to the heater controls
2 Earth Cables (1 per side)
1 Live Cable
1 Ignition
1 Wire going to CECM

See below link for more details

On another note, Would you be selling the old heated switches? Im currently looking for some.

Can do a PX with you.
