So as some of you may have read in my over posts i had a rat in my engine, a coolant leak from the turbo, which is now fixed but cost a butt load ! and i had a remap at R-tech planned for today.
So after speaking to R-tech they said they wouldn't want to touch it as they had a car in a while a go with a misfire on a cylinder, but only at idle, even after swapping other bits over (just like mine) They said that his cylinder that had the misfire melted ! i assume from running lean (misfire at idle) all the time. So injector swap time is coming up.
but while they were doing the turbo coolant pipe, my pre cat fell out !! :signLOL:
and i can report that the car feels a lot quick, not only speed wise, but response from throttle :driver:
Yes it smells a bit like a gone cat, a bit, even when warm, but i'm not behind the car when driving!
cheapest effective mod so far. Hopefully when i get the misfire at idle sorted, T-tech can have a bit more freedom in the map.
Just reporting back people.

So what's the state of play now ? Coolant leak fixed ? So now you have the main cat, minus the pre-cat that "fell out" or persuaded out ;-) ?
You still have the misfire ? Has the problem been traced to the injectors ? Did you have them tested ? Spray pattern ok ? Flow ok ? No leaks etc ? May be too much carbon in the inlet tract / valves?

coolant level the same as when i picked it up, after my little sprinted drive.
Main cat still in, yes.
Trouble is to test them is to take them out, at which point i might as well swap them. Carbon build up i thought would be quicker on cylinder 3 or 4, due to the oil coming from the PCV...
