Title: RNS510 how do I find out if it's Rev a, b c etc and firmware?

I've search on the forum and other places but can't work out how I find out what firmware and revision I have

Do I need to physically remove the unit?

I've held down the 'setup' button for 5 seconds but all i get is 'AM' and 'FM', nothing else

It looks like the maps are old- it's still showing roundabout on the A1 near Grantham!

You need to enable the secret menu using vcds and then check it

Ah I see. VCDS.....Very Costly Dangerous Solution?

Sounds like strip to an expert.....thought it was something I could do

Where abouts are you based?  We have a VCDS register list on here. Anyone near you may be able to help you.

More thorough research and I realised I needed to keep the setup button pressed for longer....and it works.....
