Post by: Paradox1 on November 26, 2014, 12:14:01 pm
Hello All,

What extra features can be added to a remap. Im from the 1.8T engines era where you could have soft mapping launch control etc.

has the options advances now we have move onto 2.0 tfsi and tsi engines?

I spoke to r-tech about it a few years ago when i was thinking of going there and i was told sometimes its possible.. I dont think its worth it unless ur using it for 1/4 with hoosiers

R-Techs options:

-Switchable maps using pedal combinations with ignition on (low boost, high boost etc) - stage 2+  Or big turbo setups only (no benefit with lower tuned setups)

- hard-cut launch limiter (sounds epic)

- 1:1 linear throttle map (makes powerful FWD cars easier to drive)

- traction control mapping (think this is standard with every remap) - makes traction control actually help you get traction. . . It's great

Probably others. . .

United Motorsports can have launch control, no lift shift, and auto blip on down change enabled.
