Title: Blue tinted glass

I have a 2005 Golf GTI and I have only just noticed today that the windscreen and tailgate windows are in green tint but the side windows are all in blue tint. I know the early MK5 GTIs were blue tinted but was in all the windows? or just the side ones?

Should be blue all round. (Or green all round).

Have they been replaced?

The windscreen has definately been replaced, so they obviously never bothered to use a blue one :stupid:

And as far as I can see the rear looks original... but this is definately green too

mine are all blue had a new screen and that's blue as well , rear glass maybe a changed tailgate ?

yeh should be either blue (pre 2006) (delisted due to price of glass) or green all round (post 2006)

my rear passenger door is a different colour... so ordered blue one

so will have a green one going spare if you wanting to change the door glasses...

Thanks guys, I will have to check it out tomorrow, I'm hoping it hasn't had a tailgate replacement otherwise I'll get paranoid about accident damage :(

Thanks Alex but I would rather get them all blue than green

Exactly why ive just ordered blue glass for my rear passenger as it annoyed me when it rained more obivious
