Title: Ed30 DV
Post by: Aparoon on November 17, 2009, 10:31:50 am
I have a real urge to buy the new 'd' revision dv, don't know why just determined to buy one  :stupid:

I have taken the original out this morning to check and there are not tares, it seems fine... Am I going to get any benefit from replacing it with the new one or am I just buying for the sake of it?

I've tried the search but can't find a definate answer  :rolleye:

Thanks in advance  :happy2:

I changed mine. Nothing wrong with the old one when i took it off and i felt like i'd wasted money as there is no difference.
Guess i just did it to be on the safe side.

X 3, although it was really stretched.

I guess you're just removing a weak link for peace of mind - it's not like its expensive.

Is the Forge one worth the money or is the D revision adequate and more reliable that previous versions? Can it hold boost ok on a remapped car?

The D is completely different. A Forge style piston, rather than a diagphram but with electronic movement, rather than the Forge vacuum.

Basically VW copied the aftermarket. I don't know of one failing yet... but I think with big boost, the likes of Forge may be better???

No probs on my stage2 KO3 so far.

Na don't bother with Forge the revison D copes fine with 360hp at a fraction of the price.

Well I guess i'm not on my own. I am gonna order a new DV tommorow, even though mine is prob ok. Seems a few of you have done the same, so why not!

Can anyone confirm that the latest one is 06H 145 710 D ?

Thanks  :drinking:
