Hi, Guys i have one wheel left to paint my calipers and hubs but two bolts don't budge. Please help, how can I take really tight ones off without a impact wrench can't afford that atm. Thanks :fighting:

Put an extension on your wheel wrench - scaffold pipe etc

Brute force is the way. Get a fat friend to jump on the end of the bar or something.
If you really can't get them off yourself then put the wheels back on and take it to a tyre shop and get them to loosen the nuts. Then when you put them back in get some copper grease on them as chances are if they're stuck in that bad they're dry as a bone :happy2:

As above

Thanks guys I have one rather heavy weight friend lucky he shall be given a bar of chocolate in reward. Thanks for the advice hopefully get this sorted! love this forum haha

as above! a good spray of WD40 and a long pipe on the end of a wrench! We have a 10 foot pipe at work that usually works! If that fails we attach a crane to a length of pipe although I'm guessing you don't have a crane in your garage?

Unfortunately I don't have a crane sir! but the fat friend with chocolate and d40 will do! thanks guys

Make sure you get your wheel wrench/spanner etc onto the wheel bolt properly, if you put a lot of force onto the wheel wrench and it's not onto the wheel bolt fully then it will probably slip and you could end up rounding the bolt - really not fun to sort out!

Let me know what works!

A 24" breaker bar with deep 1/2 inch socket usually works well
