Anyone know what it used to be ? it's quote soft form, i'm thinking form from the side wing ?
Please help, this car and rat are slowly killing my wallet !

I have a twin cat.
Is the car garaged? If so leave the bonnet open may not feel so cosy under there then.

Any chance it's the piece of foam that holds the rubber strip on your windscreen cowling in place?
-
Maybe dazza can loan you the engine cat to hunt the engine rat.
This gives a new meaning to the "rat" look.
I'll be here all week. :P

Isn't that the piece of foam inside the wheel arch that a lot of people cut back due to rusting inside the wing?
I think that rat just did the same work a garage would charge you €100 for

Maybe put a rat trap or some poison pellets somewhere in the engine bay. It does look a lot like the foam from the inside wing, I just had a look around my bay and couldn't see any foam that big.
-
Plans for tomorrow, spray the inside of the engine bay with a 10% bleach spray, then carefully jet wash. :scared:
This should remove the scent marking the rat has left.
Then pure peppermint oil dripped in the engine bay, more people than not are saying Rodents hate it.
-
Have a good look around and make sure it's not chewed anything that could be dangerous.

Already had a look and can't see or smell any thing leaking or any wires chewed, but thanks.
-
That's definitely from your wings. I've removed mine to stop the rust :happy2:
You only need the foam on diesels to stop the wings rattling with the vibrations :signLOL:

Looks like item 36 to me
