Title: Camshaft positioner slow response
Post by: Tortaruga on December 04, 2014, 11:21:06 pm
I had this code today following a scan. Does anyone know if I might be having early low oil pressure symptoms due to pickup pipe blockage, or is it more likely the n205 at fault?

P000A/000010 - Camshaft A (Bank 1 Intake): Positioner Slow Response

Possible Causes
Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 (N205) faulty
Wiring/Connectors from/to Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 (N205) faulty
Intake Camshaft Adjustment (Bank 1) faulty
Possible Solutions
Check Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 (N205)
Perform Output Test
Check Wiring/Connectors from/to Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 (N205)
Check Intake Camshaft Adjustment (Bank 1)
Perform Basic Setting
Check for Tightness of the Adjustment Mechanism
Check Engine Oil Pressure

I also have this code but mine only happened after cambelt waterpump chain and tensioner was replaced also replaced the N205 still have the code....mine maybe a slightly different problem as my N205 sensor has a tapping noise coming from it did some research few ppl say oil and filter change will stop this but I'm not 100%
