Title: Help! Missing Part!
Post by: Gman30 on December 07, 2014, 11:27:32 am
Hi Guys,

I have just had my car back from the body shop but they have left something off my door!

Problem is neither my bodyshop or my local tps can track it down!

From what I can find its described as a door seal retainer plate? Maybe it comes with the door seal as part as of a kit?

Anyone able to shed any light? It sits on the front edge of the os door on my 2 door 2007 Edition 30.

Here is a pic of the ns unit in situ with part no!!

Is it a colour coded part?  If not maybe just call a breakers yard? They're bound to have a host of MK5's around the place that you might be able to nick the bit off.  Thats if you don't have any more luck through TPS etc

Thanks for the reply's! And cheers for the etka screen shot @xjay1377

Turns out it been superseded a couple of times! Its now made from steel not plastic and it doesn't extend out past the torx bolts in the door aperture.
