Post by: cander83 on December 11, 2014, 10:39:05 pm
Does anyone know if when timing chain is replaced the cam adjuster comes as part of kit or is it separate

Can't see a kit

http://www.partscats.info/volkswagen/en/?i=cat_vag_models&brand=vw&number=1714&set=1728&ein=2007&f=474&hauptgr=1234567890&hg=1&grf=010915420&bf=10915&hgug=109&ug=09&parent_id=2335700

All indervidual parts.

think its separate.had timing chain and tensioner done, then eml light came on and took it back and needed cam adjuster.running as quiet as a mouse, well not that quiet as that but much better.

I had my chain and tensioner done now I get the eml light too but my tapping noise comes from my N205 sensor which is brand new if unplug it the noise goes away I think it's oil related tbh for mine get the code saying slow response
