The lights on my ed30 are bugging me, it seems that he last owner must of used some sort of abrasive polish or cleaner and in the corners they have faded like someone has got a wire wool pad or one of those green scoring pads and ruined them. when there wet they look fine but as soon as there dry they go all funny in the corners like a dull matty white. I actually think he may of used an electric polisher and got onto the lights and rubbed them too. Is there a way of bringing them back from the dead or do i have to just cut my losses and buy new ones?
Your advice would be much appreciated.

Depends on how deep the marring on them lights is, you can restore them fairly easily. Some fine wet sanding to begin with and then finish off with a machine polisher and a compound (you can find guides for suitable products and techniques everywhere on car/detailing forums). You will (most likely) need a machine polisher to restore them though.

cheers for that will give it a go this weekend, in the meantime i might look into a new pair as well as I've just noticed the left one has bad condensation.

Try this (http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductMobileDisplay?storeId=10001&productId=922499&srch=headlight+restore&categoryId=255233&langId=-1&catalogId=10151) as a good starting point.
