So Im going to be visiting r-tech to get the mk5 mapped.
Ive got all the necessary mods to go stage 2 and ive also laid my hands on an uprated high pressure fuel pump, (well the internals).
Problem is I was thinking about selling the internals and just going to stage 2, (the funds received for the internals will make up the rest of the map money) or the other obvious choice is to keep the internals and pay out the extra to go stage 2+.
Has anyone experienced both map levels?
I know the pump gives a much stronger mid range, and slightly higher numbers at the end product but is it worth the extra money?
Thanks in advance! :happy2:

HPFP makes a massive difference to the mid range. Niki has to down-tune stage 2 cars with standard fuel pump as the air filter and exhaust can flow more than the fuel pump can fuel.
HPFP makes a difference even with stock cars from what I've read.

Haven't experienced it but from my own research its definitely worth it and I'm going for it. However if you haven't already upgraded the clutch with the pump you almost definitely will get slip.

Thanks for the input! yeah im still on the standard clutch at the minute, I'm budgeting to replace it very soon though with going to at least stage 2.
I am swaying more to the stage 2 option but i know 6 months down the line i'll be thinking that i should of forked out the extra bit of cash to go stage 2+ haha

Exactly, and then you'll have to pay another £300 for the map as well. For the sake of a few hundred pounds it'll be a massive gain

Just do it.
Oh and you'll need a new clutch......err....the day you leave R-Tech.
