Title: Screenwash expiry date?
Post by: Mandy on December 13, 2014, 04:19:34 pm
I was given a bottle of VW screenwash today but I noticed the date on the neck of the bottle was 25/03/2014. I was just wondering if this is an expiry date or manufacturing date? Is it ok to use lol!

Thanks.

If it is out of date, it might give you a funny tummy - so I wouldn't drink it  :innocent:

They're juat advisory dates the manufacturer has to add by law. Maybe another few years down the line it'll start to come out of solution and some bits will settle in the bottom of the bottle. At that point don't put it in your car or the gunk will settle out!

Even a cam follower has an expiry date. I think mine from last year was 2018. Took a picture of it at the time as it made me chuckle

Screenwash will be fine

Thank you for the replies, I guess it must be the manufactured date then. It looks ok so all good. :happy2: :pomppomp:

Next question... Do people dilute it at this time of year or just put it in neat? :jumping:

Does it not give dilution amounts on the back depending on temperature?

The VW dilution rates are on the front of the bottle, peel up the label.
