Hi all. Fitted an rns 510 yesterday, coded it and it doesn't pick up on my highline cluster.
Also I noticed my fiscon basic plus sounds terrible on the rns! It was perfect on the rcd300.
Any ideas peeps?
-
my first port of call would be check the firmware, then any errors in vagcom?
-
I put 3810 on it to prevent battery drain. Used it before. With no problems
-
For what I know FW3810 won't prevent battery drain unless it was modified and for that option you can install newer firmwares and then install the patch to prevent battery drain.
Are you sure you ticked off the BAP protocol?
-
Its already modified. Good call, ill check the bap box.
-
Unticked bap and now nav and music shows in highline display. Thanks bud.
Anyone know why the a2dp and calls on the fiscon basic plus is so low?
-
I had this with my old Fiscon, basically by wiggling about the loom it picked up in volume. In the end I found out what strand was causing it and had to cable tie it back to keep it from wiggling about. Worked fine thereafter.
Kufatec's QC isn't all that great at times
-
I tried wiggling the loom at the quad connector end and no difference. .ill try on the module end and see. Strange though it was fine on the rcd300. Ill try plugging that in as well and see how it sounds.
-
Ok I plugged in my rcd300 back in and the sound quality is clear as it should be. Something on the rns 510 doesnt like the fiscon unit. Any ideas anyone? Im on 3810 modified firmware to prevent battery drain.

tried the pin swap as suggested by a fellow member but still sounds terrible on a2dp and phone calls.
Anyone have any other suggestions?

There are some codes you dial in to change Fiscon settings such as switch between mono and stereo, should be on the manual on Kufatec site

Hi skard
I've tried that too but no luck :(
-
I'd try contacting Kufatec after all your attempts to solve this. Since your radio sounds good it seems the problem is from the Fiscon.
-
this has now been sorted. was a coding issue.
-
Nice. Cheap solution.
