Hi Everyone,
I am looking at trading up to an Edition 30 and found this one for sale. Not really got a clue about what price range a good ED30 should be so wondered if this looked okay.

Someone posted about this car before. For some reason it has the seats fitted from a Seat Leon so personally I'd stay away.

What mileage is on it? I'd say that's too much. mines 2 years younger with 44k and I paid 10k
-
It was me, the garage had no idea the seats were wrong.
-
Yeah, when i asked about the seats they didnt have a scooby do. May indicate that the interior has been stolen perhaps?
The wrong interior would have a big impact on sale price, as those seats are unlikely to be heated and will not have the electric lumbar support, like the ED30 do as standard.
-
Ideal chance to knock them down as it doesn't have the original interior which you'd want in an Edition 30.

I'm selling my edition 30 in steel grey when I get back from work in a couple of weeks. Immaculate condition and will be cheaper than the one you have posted.
Although its a manual and 5 door?

I paid £9100 for black one with 51k on clock fsh it's mint and original I personally wanted everything original

Cheers, I am looking for a 3 door though and either Tornado Red or Candy White so maybe going to be a long waiting game
-
Quite right. .
They look amazing in candy white.
Steel grey was my 3rd choice in colour but the spec and price was what I wanted.
Good luck with the hunt. They are a really good car straight out the factory which can be made into a great car easily :happy2:

Wouldnt touch it if the seats are different tbh
Dealer should know the seats of a gti tbh

There is this one for sale in Ireland (judging by your username) with an unreal spec and I'm pretty sure is a forum member. I was gonna buy from the UK but our stupid country charge over €3.5k for vrt. Might be worth looking into

I'm just about to put mine up for sale 07 reg ed30. 60k from new 3 owners, mint condition, 4 recent tyres, cambelt pump and tensions done 2 months ago. Winter pack heated seats, steering wheel controls etc. I'm looking for 9k. I think that is pretty reasonable. Very clean car.
-
So this car has the wrong interior and still hasn't sold so the garage has upped the price by £1000 Pmsl.

How much, they must be having a laugh, there's not even a mention of service history.
They seem an incompetent bunch, the price in the picture and description is less than the advertised price :congrats: I would stay clear of them and look elsewhere.
There are better ones to be had. Just look out for wing rust, water pump & cambelt history (likely to needed) and the state of the brakes (these might need replacing)
This seems a more reasonable price:
