Come on folks it's not that price without being a scam!

Trouble is people do fall for these things and thats why they continue .
I met someone who bought (Well so they thought) Two Iphones for less than one iphone was selling for . They told me they thought they could sell one and effectively get their one for free . I said "Did you not think thats a bit odd for a seller to only ask half as much as the phone ares worth" They said "No" !
While there are these sort of people about these things will continue , only a fraction are reported as crimes , it is estimated at least half are not reported due to the embarrassment of the victim .

Those photos are from a recent advert the other month, sure the asking price then was just over £9k.
Has scam written all over it :happy2:

Was on ebay for 9250 if I remember correctly.

just rang the number in the advert and some scottish picked up saying 'you've got the wrong number', he sounded quite rude... lol

I don't even understand how this scam works?
Surely as soon as you try to make contact you realise its BS, do people actually pay for a car without seeing it?

Allow the scum to operate!

These people are assholes for pulling these scams but to be honest if you hand over money to a stranger without driving or even seeing a car you're a moron. The reality of life is that you can't trust some people.

Can't really feel sorry for these people tbh.

I guess if someone wants something and they get desperate they fall for it, I blame society and materialism trying to make out anyone can buy anything these days..

Sent the seller a message asking to view the car but apparently it's in Spain. He has offered to drop the price to £3k if i pay by direct bank transfer, he will ship the car to me and with his personal guarantee, if i am not 100% satisfied he will refund me less shipping costs.
Sounds legit.

I had a MK5 Golf GTI DSG Shell for sale but folk only wanted the ID Tags, V5 logbook & paperwork. This car would have been ringed for sure, so I've now scraped it as less hassle :happy2:
There's plenty of dodgy people out there

Received another email :)
First of all I want to thank you for your interest for my car. I've almost reached an agreement with a potential buyer. Unfortunately, it looks like there are some problems and he doesn't have all the money to pay, for the moment. It is in extremely good condition,100% HPI Clear, full service history. Currently I am on a business trip to Italy and will have to stay here for about 6 months (this is why I am selling the car for a low price and I am looking for a fast sale to finance the Italian project ). I left the car in Stanton Transport custody ( www.stanton-transport.co.uk ) and they will handle the sale for me. The V5 log book is already signed on my behalf, the car will come with 2 keys, all service records and previous MOT's. Stanton Transport will deliver the car directly to your home address and I will pay all delivery expenses.
If you are interested in purchasing the car just contact Stanton Transport department that handles the sale directly at: info@stanton (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=4939)-transport.co.uk and they will assist you with any questions you might have regarding the transaction.
When contacting the Stanton Transport please specify my name ( Elizabeth Adkins ) and the car make and model.
Doing a Whois lookup shows the website was created 14/12/14.
