Post by: drewdrop on December 28, 2014, 06:18:30 pm
Hi people be easy first post, had my golf for 2 years now with Bluefin software happy with it until this morning runs normal round town and normal driving I hit a slip road and gave it some, what felt like a miss fire a sort of judder from the pedal happened and an engine management light flashed, I then eased off and the light stopped flashing and was ok to drive me home a further 10 mile. I tried on a straight close to home and the repeat  happened a misfire is this a common thing that goes wrong, I would like help so I can have knowledge before I see a garage tomorrow. ps always runs on Tesco momentum, and  serviced at main dealer 2 year ago when I got it, I only done 9000mile in 2 year is id due a dame good service ? please help its going in tomorrow for full going over thanks

Sounds like a coil pack. Replace them with the red ones in the link below. May as well do the spark plugs too - use Bosch plugs.

Service your car every year as the oil degrades  :happy2:
