Title: How to use a MK6 Golf Colour MFD and a MK3 Scirroco White MFD for MK5 Golf
Post by: MateyGuv on December 29, 2014, 06:42:31 pm
I want a colour MFD and have been searching for a Scirocco colour unit but just cant find one, I'v had a Scirocco white MFD for months.  A MK6 Golf colour MFD came up and after a bit of research it appeared that I could use this and my Scirocco unit to make one that'll fit a MK5.  Although this may not be of use to everybody maybe someone will get use/ideas from this.....

The sound is really crap - sorry about that

I would love to do this. What kind of money do the clusters go for?
Brilliant video too :happy2:

You can still buy from dealers but stooooooopid money.
I was lucky with the Scirocco dials and paid £60, the colour MFD versions come up from £250 but have seen then as much as £750. Colour mfd's are hard to find and depends on what the person knows as to how much it'll cost - get some followed searches up on eBay and keep your eye out  :happy2:

This info is from Olsen-72 - really helped in my search....
Try 920880. Last digit is for year, 0-2010, 1 - 2011, So 920881...4.
Also 920980...4
920 - means instrument cluster
9 - UK/USA, 8 - EU (but you can swap your dials is KM match your MPH)
8 - means Premium/colour
last digit - year
