Planning to get the mk7 steering fitted, since I got DSG and full MFD just wondering will I be able to make the buttons and DSG paddles function? Wether it takes coding or installing updated control modules.
Also if someone can offer the service to fit and code and based in or near London please PM me cheers

So far the only results seem to be that owners of manual cars have done it, the buttons on the wheel don't work though so I'd guess that DSG is currently a no-go until someone has a play with control modules and coding.

I looked into this a few months ago & i was told even though i have a mk6 ch controller fitted it wouldn't work correct & the buttons on the mk7 wheel illuminate white not red so would look odd. Ive since added a mk6 flat bottom wheel thats fully functional.

Have a talk to GTI-Dav i think his name is on the forum.. he has said it's possible but quite expensive..

Clearly, a How-To guide would be most welcome if you get a chance to document such a job. :happy2:

Ill try and do one yes.
May be of limited use though as I have a 2011 MK6 which doesnt share the same steering electrics as MK5s and early MK6s.
My sources say that on MK6s I dont need to change the steering controller as its already for MFSW.
Also worth noting there are 2 MFSW layouts for MK7 one with and one without Adaptive cruise. Mines with and Iv seen it work on MK6s
Keep your eyes peeled will try and do it Sunday or Monday.
Wish me luck! :happy2:
