New to the forum all the way from ireland. Here is my pride and joy up above. Standard as they come but i have big ideas which are entirely budget dependent unfortunately :( Are there many other irish on here?

Hi Guys glad to see theres a few of us on here.. Performance wise im thinking Forge Induction Kit, Miltek Cat-back and revo remap to start with but ill have to save up a few bob first. Any other suggestions would be appreciated! Im on GtiNi but ive neglected it to be honest. What motors have ye all got?Have a '05 Steel Grey GTI. Have a full Milltek with sports cat, carbonio intake & Joe Power remap amongst other mods. I'd certainly recommend Joe to map the car, he's one of, if not the best in Ireland.

I'd second the Joe Power recommendation, he know's his stuff and can map it to your needs. I'd go turbo back if you're going to do the exhaust, free's it up nicely.

If you want to hear the full Milltek with sports cat, let me know and you can have a go in mine, although the diverter valve needs replaced.

I don't have a Mk5 yet but I'm building a Mk1 with a TFSI K04 engine out of a 07 Leon Cupra, find the forum great for info on tuning and power upgrades.

If you're saving up for a few of the expensive performance mods I'd get cracking on the cheaper and very easy DIY aesthetic upgrades. You can get very good quality bits from aliexpress and eBay when it comes to small items of trim that'll make a huge difference.

I'm not sure man. There is cars and coffee at cherrywood the first sunday of every month from around 10:30 onwards. Its not an autostadt event but the turn out is massive. Some seriously cool cars lambos, ferraris, m cars, merc amg's, rs4's etc. etc. I have vcds too now by the way if you need any scans or coding done. enabled cornering fogs and alarm chirp on mine. just need someone to stand in front of the car as i go around a corner now to see if they work!

I never drive with my fogs on because I think they look out of place with the xenon lights. How much and where did you get VCDS? I'm still considering it...
