Title: Midline Display flashing

Something weird happened on the way to work today, first of all i noticed a weird intermitent tapping noise, it sounded like its coming from the passengers side, it wasnt a metalic tapping so i dont think its coming from the engine, maybe its the vents but iv never had this before? Any suggestions?

Then i noticed my display (mid-line) flashed and then settled again, about 5mins later it did the same again. I normally have it displaying the mpg, i looked down and it was just lots of red lights, then after about 10 seconds it reset and displayed the mpg again?  :stupid:

Any one had any of these symptoms?

The car is in for service next thursday so i can get them to look at it then, just a bit concerned as the warranty expires on the 5th December and dont want to be hit with potentially a big bill

Oil pressure low?

check oil

My oil light came on about a month ago so filled it up then, i park in the same places every day and havent noticed any spilages.
Il go check it now though :happy2:
