Just read that asda has just slashed another 2p off from tomorrow so 105.7 for petrol and 112.7 for diesel and the other supermarkets are following suit.
Seen theres a jet station selling for 102.9 and 109.9

I'm getting V-power for £1.19 now, don't normally care about fuel prices but that's about 20p less than I was paying just weeks ago :jumpmove:
-
now that everyone is enjoying cheap(er) fuel - i want to turn the attention to all the things that went up due to "increase in fuel costs". Shouldn't these start coming down soon enough?

Reduce VAT back down to 17.5% and we will be laughing.

^^^^ Yeap couldn't agree more and reduce the tax from 60p a litre to errrrrrr 15p as in the US of A and I'll be happy. I know it will never be reduced by the thought's nice.
-
it wouldn't surprise if the Government sneakily hiked up the fuel duty whilst being buried by the falling price of fuel... However, with it being an election year, it would be suicide to do this i reckon.
i remember when fuel rocketed past the £1 mark a few years ago and every man and his dog added surcharges and stuff due to to the rising cost of fuel.... I wonder if they are just as quick to reduce their charges now that fuel has come back down??
The public (as well as many professional sectors) are quick to vilify the petrol companies for increasing the cost of fuel at the pump but at the moment, its only the petrol companies that are slashing prices.... funny that.

In my mind, lower petrol prices can only mean more people attending shows, hanging out at local meets and generally cruising about again. Seeing as it's getting cheaper to fill up a tank, might encourage the old night life of cars back into existence.
Or maybe I'm an Essex chav missing the "good old days" in Basildon lorry park...

I think you'll find that's called dogging. (https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fmcaborn%2FSmileys%2Fsmilewysex.gif&hash=aceb37d3c23726e8c0dcd59764f108e3dbc33976)

You won't get really great MPG until it's run in. I remember people moaning about that on Scirocco Central :sad1:
