Post by: panther33 on January 06, 2015, 12:04:42 pm
Has anyone had the same problem? Cannot get MOT as the wipers need to work when car is stationery ... any ideas? Many thanks

they work in Auto when you go over 10mph from stationary same as when the doors lock
they will still work when you manually flick them (down) or put them on full (normal or maximum speed)

switch goes

full - fast
full - normal
auto
off
manual one flick

easy really

Mine were doing this when the bonnet catch was playing up.
The car thinks the bonnet is open and so doesn't let the wiper work when stationary, regardless of position of the stalk.
Although if this is the case, you should have a bonnet open warning on dash?

Yeah, this happens when the car thinks your bonnet is open. You sure your bonnet switch works?

Happened to me when the bonnet wasn't closed properly
