Title: mk5 gti diesel sound knocking

my mk5 gti sounds like a diesel.... i replaced the cam tensioner, follower, and chain and the noise is still there?? any help?!

thanks and it is a 2006 2.0t..... i bought this car from about 2 hours away from where i live and i drove it back with the loud knock. it only started to knock when the car was warmed up so i replaced the cam tensioner, follower, and chain and the noise is even worse now

yes. as soon as it gets warm is when it starts to have the engine noise... its sounds like a diesel truck.
