Title: Off to R-Tech in the morning.
Post by: P3T3R on January 09, 2015, 12:03:03 am
In about 6 hours I'll be making the 120 mile trip up to R-Tech for a stage 1 map and DSG map, car is a 2005 GTI, current mods are: Pre-Cat removed | Evoms Intake | Rev G Diverter valve | Rev R PCV valve

Have also change the cam follower about 5000 miles ago, and gave the car a full service back in the summer, although should have probably used 1 step colder plugs and 5w-40 oil (will do next time) rather than the OEM spec stuff, but I'm sure it will be fine. Car has got a full tank of V-Power sitting in it. Would be nice to make at least 250bhp not that fussed about numbers as long as it drives nice.

Will update this thread to show my dyno results once I get back.

Enjoy! Don't forget to get the lads some biscuits - I use the BP garage whenever I go there

Expect a lot of standing around watching your car do 100+mph on the Dyno  :jumping:

Make sure Niki takes you out afterwards to explain what he has done

Drives crazy mine completely stock with a K&N filter I got 250 bhp feels so smooth and the power is linear! managed to hit top speed 16* mph for fun. This was on a track. Nik is a beast hell sort ya hahah

Damn why didn't you guys tell me about the biscuits sooner! :ashamed:

Had a great time, met some awesome knowledgable people, the car made 255 bhp and 327 ft.lb of torque. Really happy the car pulls so well and is so much more responsive and just feels perfect now, although I already want more and am looking at stage 2+ bits more and more but I don't the bank balance would be to pleased with me. Writing this has reminded me I need to update my build thread, especially after the weekends attempt at giving the car a detail and after seeing the S3 brakes on Nikki's ED30 I decided I needed some of that goodness and have already brought a set, which I'm picking up tomorrow.
