Title: Pre-cat removal - West Midlands, Stourbridge
Post by: RichardFellows on January 10, 2015, 08:34:41 am
Morning guys,

I want to get my pre-cat removed over the next few weeks. I've contacted a few local dealers/vag specialists, and popped in on my way back from work and explained the situation etc of the pre-cat filter removal, but they all seem unsure of exactly what to do.

Can you recommend anyone local (Stourbridge, West Mids), that have had experience in pre-cat removal?

Id attempt it myself at home but would rather someone else have the hassle of undoing those turbo bolts!

Cheers.

Classic MOT Centre on Burbridge road in Birmingham is where I get all of my work done from. Very reasonable prices too.

Great service from Midlands VW! Really pleased with the result; when driving home I noticed a small increase in overall "perkyness", a deeper more throaty noise from the exhaust when lower down in the rev range, and a definite increase in turbo noise.

I wanted to check what the car sounds like from an outside perspective, so my brother took it round the block and I waited on the side of the road. IT SOUNDS BRILLIANT!. A lovely slightly raspy tone to it with the turbo spooling up to accompany it. For the sake of £60, its a mod well worth doing :)
