Title: Airbag warning light on after bump
Post by: crashdesk on January 13, 2015, 01:42:41 pm
Hi all,

A few days ago the Airbag warning light came on, just after I hit a speed bump. In theory, from what I've read it could be the connectors. I read this in another thread...

'Try reseating the connectors under the front seats'

Would anyone have an idea of how to go about this? Any pictures? I really don't want to go to the dealership.

Thanks,
CD

I would suggest have the scanned first and see which sensor is causing the light and then check the connections.

Does this happen to coincide with you doing any hovering of the floor near the connectors?

Either way, the connection possibly just came loose briefly. Examine the connectors under the seat and if all looks good then get the airbag light reset and see if it comes back.

I reset mine and it hasn't come back since. I hit the connector whilst hovering btw.

The carista app for android works with an obd and can reset airbag light.

Probably under seat plug got knocked lose on the bump.
Reset and if not then it will tell you what side and then just unplug and replug and re-set again.
