changing to kw coilovers from stock and is there anything else i should o can change when having the stock on out? bearings etc?

Top mounts and drop links on the front as they're both coming off anyway.
I'd definite change the top mounts as the shocks have to come off to change them. I'd do both front drop links just for peace of mind.

called a vw guy who works at my local VW and he told me to only change the top bearing on both sides. @Shorty (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=3941)

http://www.psituning.com/product.php/24025/coilover_shock_installation_kit___golf_mk5_6 - This is a good upgrade, did it myself and just helps to further make the car feel like a new car. As mentioned, drop links are another good idea as well, maybe even some adjustable ones if the budget allows.
