Dave,

Lovely Nyom, nyom

Are those of the 996/997 carrera?

Did you have to have custom carriers?

Go Forth and multiply Mr Bell End!

:booty: :booty:

John - Custom carriers fitted, and very very well made.  They are 996 Twin Turbo Calipers, with 36/44 pistons.  First impressions, the pedal is higher, and bite is good.

Pads are a fast road pad, and I have race pads as a back up.

Need to get some miles on them now.

Very nice.
Are these floating discs?
Early next year i will be going Bigger frontswith floating rotors(I do rate the R32 setup tho)

Not floating.  That is the next thing on the agenda, sometime next year though!  They are so pricey!

Thats not a tight fit, you could get a bus through there.

Looking very nice Dave, you slut. (https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Ftomashandmilly%2FDaft_stuff%2Fim0aqvjpg.gif&hash=b0e897fdcb5230518fd74c4c9bb6bede268723b0)

had a go on ben@sharkperformances. he has the same calipers paired to merc amg discs. stopping power was immense and fade free, but jesus did they make squeeling noise

350 mm D/G.  Been using them for a few miles (25) and no noises as yet............

Tom, I think that pic exaggerates the clearance...........

Are you running these with spacers QD? I know Ben had to on his Octy.

his spacers were pretty large as well iirc. although he has different wheels. the offset could be different

I think he got away without spacers!

Correct - no spacers.  The wheels are BBS VZ's, so a larger wheel - 8J compared to 7 1/2 J and ET44 opposed to 51.

Still got quite a bit of room behind there.

Cost me a lot lot less than the £1400 (ish) for a aftermarket kit.
