Title: Do I need a new cam chain and tensioner?

Hi,

When I start my gti it sounds like it's a diesel, even though it's not. I have read this May be because I need a new chain and tensioner? Is this true? I just replaced the cambelt like 3miles ago...

Did the problem start after the belt was changed?

Maybe timing is slightly out.
