Title: Help please, coolant leak
Post by: Supernova on January 21, 2015, 07:36:28 pm
The nipple on the T shape adaptor on top coolant hose broke while I was driving spewing coolant everywhere. Is it ok to just block the hole and leave the smaller hose that usually goes onto unattached for now?
And anyone know what that's called or part number?

Thanks!

51 in that diagram. It's the small nipple on top on the plastic adaptor that has snapped off so coolant coming out and cannot attach the small hose that goes onto it. Thanks.

The item name distributor and is part number 1K0 121 087H price £9:24 full retail inc vat

Difficult it term of repair since it would be down to people's ability and available equipment!

If only for short journey then yes but leave the coolant cap slack so the system doesn't pressurise stressing your temporary repair.

Well I'm trying superglue at moment for temporary fix but don't think it'll hold cause of heat. Hopefully my dealer should have in stock tomorrow. Thanks.
