Title: In car cigarette lighter (12v) doesnt work in new car?

Pinched a 12v car cigarette lighter from another MK5 golf to put in my car but it doesnt click down and work?

any ideas? By the looks of it the car never ever came with one in the first place

mine fused other week easy to change think it was fuse 27 side of dashboard

to be honest i think my fuse is also gone! phone never seems to charge hehe
