As above I'm looking to buy a version P RNS510 and currently have an MFD2 in my 05 GTI
What do I need for the swap?
Is it just the RNS510 and a new can gateway?
Do I need any antenna's/ Ariel's etc??
Thanks in advance :happy2:

You'll also need to get a 2nd to 3rd generation car aerial adaptor dual fakra splitter connector converter cable (PN V7L6051551).
You can use your current sat nav antenna.
You might need to replace your CAN gateway if your Golf isn't from late 2007 or from 2008.
The last thing you'll need to to do is VCDS coding to get the RNS-510 to work properly.
You can get the 2015 maps online for free as well.

Exactly what I wanted to know, cheers

If you have trouble finding a good link to get the maps when you get your RNS-510 working properly, send me PM. I can get you a good link. ;)
Cheers

It's the latest version so it'll have more new roads than the previous. That's what new map versions have, new roads or updated changes to the existing roads. New roundabouts and that sort of changes.
