Yeah I've read that write up before. So what's the definitive answer? I'm even more confused. Replace all of the above and cam shaft adjuster kit or just the adjuster kit?? All I want is an answer to get it sorted.

TBH she sounds even better now without the engine cover.
Andy are you going to change it yourself? If so i can send you the VW bit for the adjustor bolt and the sh*tty cam locking tool. (I was recommended not to use this as it may flex slightly)

Put the car in twice for cam adjuster replacement to a VW specialist and twice it came out without it being replaced. Going to a trusted Renault specialist in April when I go Hawaii so would likely be beneficial to him to save him buying one (And might keep my costs down!)

Ive decided that Im going to down the route of replacing the chain, tensioner and cam adjuster
I think your making the right choice with that one.

Yeah mind is made up Daz, just need to source the parts now.I f*cked it up mate. And had to wait for parts from the UK so it took about 10 days lol. If i had to do it again i think i could get it done in 4/5 hours. I'm not a mechanic so they could probably get it done a lot quicker.
How long did it take you from start to finish would you say?
