Title: Bluetooth streaming to RCD300

So i've bought a bluetooth streamer similar to this
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bluetooth-Music-Audio-Stereo-Receiver-Adapter-iPhone-iPad-iPod-Dock-Bose-Speaker-/271215732470
and a 15v to 5v adaptor and plugged it into the 30 pin iPod connector in my arm rest, I'm trying to stream from my iphone6 through the stereo.
The unit powers up and connects to my phone but when i play the music i get nothing, if I press the CD button as if I am trying to access an iPod again I get nothing. Other members have said they are using this set up, am I doing something wrong or is it not compatible.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated
