Title: Are the steering cowls the same on all cars?
Post by: SkyJawa on February 01, 2015, 05:42:57 pm
Just fitted a DSG paddle wheel to our golf that just had a standard non mfsw, non paddle.

It's now rubbing on the steering cowls at about 90 degree turn.  Torqued up to the correct 50nm so it's not over tight.

Just wondered if it was different cowls, probably no but worth a shot....!

Cheers, thought that would be the case. Seen plenty of other posts around the web with the same issue but no real fix.
