Title: More of a hello again...

Did a few bits and bobs to it; coilovers, xenons, mk6 wheel, R32 lights, R32 highline, GTI leather interior etc etc.

I sold the Golf and got a Cooper S: (I wanted a GTI however could not justify the insurance premiums compared to the Mini.)

The Mini was great fun after I tinkered with it but I got a new job which resulted in a 100 mile daily trip. So I sold it due to petrol costs and currently have an E90 BMW 3 Series. I am due to be transferred closer to home which will mean a 14 mile trip. I am looking at getting rid of the BMW and getting a GTI at last!

Just a post to say hi again and reeducate myself in what I have missed being off here. I am looking for a 3 dr GTI, looking to spend 7K or less. I am in no rush so will be able to hold out for the right one so if anyone knows of a decent car let me know.

You've got the right idea, hold out for the right car, plenty of poor examples out there. Took me a while to get myself a decent 3 door but more than happy with what I got. :happy2:
