That looks awesome. Not seen any of the new ones around :happy2:
-
Scirocco fwends!!!
Yours is lovely
I like the dash top gauges... reckon that could be retrofitted on a Mk5/Mk6 style...
-
I saw this on the Scirocco forum, it looks great.
Also another thumbs up for the dash gauges!
-
Cheers all! :happy2:

Great looking and very well spec'd Scirocco. I'd get a RNS-510 to level the HU to the rest of your car.
-
Yeah. I was looking into this. I currently have DAB and Bluetooth as well as Nav with the RNS315, so it would take some costs to get an RNS510 up to the same spec with a factory too. Something for the future.
-
Looks classy Luke, great colour.
What made you choose the 3DSM's out of interest? I know they're a popular wheel out there. Suit the Rocco well.
Finding it good to drive and fair to run? I get on very well with my CR170 all told.
:happy2:

Seen other Roccos with the wheels fitted and think it really suits them. A classic mesh design with lovely concave.
The engine hasn't even done 1k miles yet. So fuel consumption is still pretty poor. Hoping it loosens up a fair bit. Most I've managed is 52mpg on a 120mile run.

If you can sell your RNS-315 DAB for a fair price you can recover a good chunk of the investment but it's understandable that you leave it for later.

The car looks great Deako.....I went on a 280 trip yesterday and managed 54mpg but I stuck at 75mph for most of it. Mine is the "old" 170CR (now 200) so your newer engine should be much better when it's run in!!
-
Looks well Deako :happy2:
Interiors in the Rocco have always been the best in the VW range, this new one is no exception
-
Thanks again. Took it out for a nice drive today down to the Morgan Factory for a tour with the Auto Adrenalin guys. It's a great package.
Forgot to mention the R Line also has a soundaktor so doesn't sound like a diesel at all too. :happy2:
-
Didn't realise you were with auto adrenalin! I'm friends with Mike. Top bloke

Took delivery of the TTRS calipers and promptly sent them back for a refund. Not impressed with the refurb.
Also took delivery of this brand new from VW.

Should look nice with a new BCS system.
-
What was wrong with the calipers Deako?
-
Poor quality refurb. If I source another set cheap enough, I'll send them to Jonny at Brake Caliper Refurbs.
-
That's a shame. :sad1:
Have you tried contacting Jonny to see if he has any? He supplied the calipers for my NQSBBK for the golf!
-
Sooo guess this will be up for sale soon now Golf R #2 is ordered? :innocent:

Yep. But could be anywhere from 6-8 months.
I was going to hold for an R400 or M2, but just don't need to spend that kind of money.
Here's how it now looks.

Looking fresh, Luke!
Those wheels work well for me, VW Motorsport ones? From memory, they're nice and light aren't they in 19"s...
Good choice :happy2:
Still loving the drive? Any more plans to change it's performance behavior?
-
... But I definitely need and will buy an M2 when they're out...
I agree.

Yep. The VW Motorsport 19s. Same style as the 24 hour Scirocco Nurburgring car. I think they really suit it.

If I got an M2, I'd love it but just wish it had a different badge on it. If I got an R400, I'd have to sleep with one eye open, same for the M2 really.
I kept toying with the idea of just keeping this and getting a toy. Even arranged to go and view 2x Mk4 R32s, one was just out of budget and the other was really nice but just decided to spend the money I had saved elsewhere.
Now I've just gotta save the rest of the deposit for the 7R instead.
It's what I've wanted all along.

Car looked great on 3sdm's, this will be my next purchase i think, Love the Rocco's
