Title: Change sat nav.

Hi guys I own a mk5 gti with a built in sat nav the mfd2 and I was wondering if you can swap the whole unit for a different vw sat nav, it has also got the USB port and steering wheel controls I was wondering if that would be a problem too?

Any advice would be amazing.

yeah you can swap it for other vw satnavs e.g rns510 etc. Some models require you to buy a Canbus module to stop battery drain though.
