Do microfibre towels have a life span so to speak?
When I wash mine they're done in the machine with detergent, no softener and then shot in the dryer.
Now a couple of weeks ago I went to dry the car and they were useless, didn't absorb any water.
They weren't expensive ones, were off ebay, massive, blue with a red edge on them and they weren't to bad.

I had the same problem with my Kent drying towel, it was really good but all of a sudden it just didn't absorb anything at all! Although I don't put this down to the towel just stopping working due to getting to the end of its life I recon I have maybe put it in the was with a towel used for wax removal or something and that this has maybe clogged the towel up.

Not sure about that Stooey as I've always shot them all in together.
It's a conspiracy! :signLOL:

Had mine for long time washed all together still work but I bought two new ones simply because I had them for long time

I just buy one of the huge packs from Costco, use them a few times and wash them once then use until they are rotten. Think it's only £10 for 36

Most detergents these days have some sort of 2 in 1 crap in them..
usually just a warm (40-60 degree) wash with just water is enough.

They do seem to dry out after 2-3 times of use. they are cheap as chips though so just buy a load...
