Hi guys I have just bought a black vw golf mk5 gti with the dsg gearbox she has only done 35 thousand miles so I'm really happy with that. I am thinking of putting this bodykit from madmotors http://www.madmotors.co.uk/bodykits-spoilers-14000/body-kits/vw/vw-golf/vw-golf-mk5/regula-tuning-vw-golf-mk5-04-09-body-kit.html I am also wanting to get a respray to candy white also a trip to r tech is a definite.
I just want to know what you guys think I should do to her not just cosmetics but everything.
Cheers

http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,93630.0.html - Only been chatting about this the other day!
http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?page=mods - Many off us have noted down here what we run
As for body kits, they're very much not common here at all, and I'd avoid anything made purely of fibreglass as they're not great kits. But don't let that stop you if you wish. We're all a fan of OEM cosmetic mods around here so look out for things like ED30/R32 rear bumpers, ED30/Vortex front splitters and the such.
If you're looking at getting a remap, head on over to the how-to section and read up on the various diagnostics you should do before remaping your engine. Also head into the new member's section say hello and show us some pictures of this rather good sounding example of a GTI.
And welcome to the dark world of modifying .

for me the body kit is bloody awful to be honest

Oh I forgot to say it has got a mfd2 sat nav that I would like to change but it has got the MP3 dock so I was wondering if I would lose that if I changed it to a kenwood and also the functions on my steering wheel too?

Told you we don't like them! :P If you want a proper made body kit, check out German specialist Rieger;

And with audio questions, check out the carious sections and use the search bar at the top. Almost anything you want to know has been asked already!

all depends what you want to spend

i would say its alot worse than bloody awful !!

hmmm.......that body kit. :surprised:
Before you go too far and get a total respray, it would be better to P/X your car for a Candy and will be a lot less £££ than the respray.
-
If your going to respray a car then in my opinion, at least respray it something other than a standard colour and be different otherwise as said above, you may swell trade it in and get a car in the colour you actually want.
Look at HOK paint too or i should probably say House Of Kolor. Theres millions of colours to choose from in whatever paint you choose to go for but make it different than standard.

These body kits look sooooo much better, but end of the day it's yr money

The body kit is reasonably inoffensive at the front. The rear is ridiculous though.
You will be laughed at, which may not be your objective.

I actually have that body kit from about 8 years ago
Never been fitted if your interested let me know

Reminds me of maxpower magazine
