Title: Respray prep?
Post by: Geomac901 on February 11, 2015, 07:13:30 pm
Has anyone here did their own respray? And if so how much work is involved?

My paint work is shocking to the extent that the bonnet and the front bumper are peeling but also it's got runs and the paint depth is all over the place on the whole car not to mention the normal dings on the doors. I'd like to do all the prep work so all my painter has to do is paint. Hoping to keep costs down on a full respray. Any advice and help would be amazing.

If your asking your not ready.

We wouldn't dream of painting anything the customer had prept.

Thanks for the reply. I thought it was a long shot prepping myself. I'll get a quote for garage to do it properly.

The spraying is the easy bit

Thanks Jake. I'll be in touch in the future. I'm deciding if I want the full valance painted or to maybe leave the exhaust section satin black to break it up a bit and also an edition 30 front lip.
Some excellent work I've seen of yours from here  :happy2:
