Hi All
I hope to fit a 7 way to relay today. Tried yesterday and gave up
As I can tell...
Rear LH as you look at the car from the back:
Indicator - BLACK/WHITE
Tail - GREY/BLACK
Brake & Tail - BLACK/RED
Rear RH
Indicator - BLACK/GREEN
Tail - BLACK/PURPLE
Brake & Tail - GREY/GREEN
Reverse - BLACK/BLUE
Is there anywhere in the boot I can get a switched live for the relay? Don't really want it on all the time from the 12v Acc Socket?
Also is there any way to check these with a multimeter. I assumed yesterday that the CANBUS system prevents this.
Finally are the SCOTCH-LOCK connectors ok for this?
Thanking you all in anticipation.

....
I don't have a clue about such things, so all I can do to help is to 'bump' this thread..

i do know that others recommend solder and heatshrink in that area mate rather than scotchlocking due to the slamming of the boot and the effect over time on the gripped connection in the block :happy2:
for the wiring, i cant help though...used to have a CD with all that info on :sad1:

As the small fruit man says solderd wires with proper heat shrink is the way to go.
As for a switched live why not take a feed off the back of the 12v accessorie socket in the boot :happy2:

Thank you all for your help and effort.
I can confirm that the wire colours are correct. Anyone thinking of doing similar, the best place for all the wires and an earthing point is the NSR wheel arch.
Dead chuffed now got a removable tow bar with electrics for towing small trailer and a reversing camera.
Thanks again
