Hey there!
I own a 2005 MK5 2.0TDI 4motion golf and got myself an RCD 310.
I knew beforehand I could have power drain issues, but i had it fitted as is just to see if my CANbus would work with it.
Long story short, it didn't!
The VW agent where I live said I would need a new CANbus which costs 250euros not including the coding and fitting costs.
I'm here to see if there are any other or cheaper solutions?
I heard i can make a switch for the stereo to cut off its current.
Can change the wiring to be with the key, so that the stereo only works once the key is turned ->>> I was told this method might only work if you dont have parrot bluetooth.
ALso I saw that there is a sort of CANbus adapter or something?
