Hey guys sorry for opening yet another thread on thermostats, my car heats up grand to about 75 but will stay there unless I'm in traffic where it will rise to 90, but the minute I drive normally it will drop back down. What do ur think, inline thermostat, main thermostat or temp sensor?

No idea to be honest since im getting service and a few other things checked over while its in. From what I remember, the for thermostat change alone inc labor at VW will be ~180£ since its hard to get at. Independent garage would be cheaper again than that though. My brother gets me discounted prices at the VW where he works so he sorts all out from their side in his name. I just give him the cash once its done !

Ya I'm just going to do mine myself, fair bit of work to get at but not impossible once you have the right tools for the job, buddy of mine has a lift and all I can use
