Mega confused chaps with bushes, can't someone point me in the right direction. Need to replace my front console bushes as they are degraded. So i thought and upgrade would be in order :happy2:.
Really grateful for any recommendations. Cheers

whitelines anti lift kit.
-
Cheers for the replies. Which bushes on the front does the walk replace.
-
Nope forget I asked that :signLOL: I can see. Much benefit with walk over just uprated bushes.
-
no wheel hop in the dry. about all i noticed to be honest. ive replaced all my bushes now and car feels so much better.
-
The up graded bushes sharpen the steering up a lot better
-
Thanks for the replies guys all very helpful. :happy2:
-
Superpro Anti Lift Kit (S-ALK) is better quality than the Whiteline product which has split in several cases on the forum.
IIRC it's also cheaper :happy2:
-
powerflex also do one with adjustable camber which im kinda tempted in.
-
I love the improvement that the SuperPro ALK did to my steering and handling.
I'm considering getting the SuperPro roll centre correction & camber adjustment ball joints to tweak the camber and raise the roll center.

Thinking of getting the console bushes done whilst having some work on my suspension next week. Someone has suggested these Febi bushes: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FEBI-33973-Control-Arm-Trailing-Arm-Bush-Front-Axle-left-or-right-Rear-/401068007308?hash=item5d61841f8c:g:x5MAAOSw~OVWt70o
From what I gather they need to be replaced into the existing housing, is this a hard job? Would I be better just forking out for the SuperPro ones rather that messing with these? Bit confused as the price difference is quite a bit.
edit:do just the rears need doing also?
-
Or are these any good: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Suspension-Arm-Bush-Wishbone-Front-Left-Audi-A3-Seat-Leon-1K0199231N-/401068708914?hash=item5d618ed432:g:C38AAOSwPc9WuXP~
Part number matches what @SI-R32 (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1757) mentioned in another thread.

Once you go poly you won't turn back :signLOL:
-
So that's vote for the SuperPro then!
Anyone know if these fit the mk5? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Suspension-Arm-Bush-Wishbone-Front-Left-Audi-A3-Seat-Leon-1K0199231N-/401068708914?hash=item5d618ed432:g:C38AAOSwPc9WuXP~

Here's a wicked deal on fleebay

Ace, thanks!
Are they the correct ones then, it says rear? Sorry my suspension knowledge doesn't extend much further than springs and dampers.
I assume I'll need the garage to press them into the brackets?
-
@Mark_DF05 (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=9983) yes they are the correct ones.
They are front wishbone rear bushes meaning the fit at the rear of the wishbones and a bargain for the lot imho.
I'd advise you get a garage to press them out and in unless you have access to a vice and are willing to gemive it a go at pressing them out and back in?.
-
Ah right, makes sense now!
Got a vice so could have a go buy failing that I'll just get the garage to do it with the right tools. Thanks for the help mate.
-
You'll also need some kind of spacer solid socket similar width to push the out and in with.
Good luck and no worries

Back again!
After searching the forum I don't think those SuperPro ones on eBay are quite the same as they ones they sell with the bracket so I'm thinking of just going with S3 ones as I don't really have £150 to spend on them.
Can anyone confirm that these part numbers are correct and the bracket fits as a direct replacement?
