I've been having a few issues with my ED30 of late (I've been an owner for around a year now), it's been idling rough with the engine management light on. Under diagnostics all roads seem to point at an air leak in the vacuum system. :sad1:
Upon inspecting my engine bay I can see a value that looks like it's meant to have a pipe on it (see pics below), however I have no idea where the pipe goes to. When running the engine, the car is sucking air through the hole, therefore as a temporary measure I have plugged it, which has resolved the idling issue and kept the engine light off. As above, this is only the temporary fix until I can workout where the pipe is meant to go...
So please, would one of you kind ED30 geniuses tell me what pipe I am missing?? Beers will be rewarded to the winner!! :drinking:

No pipe attaches there on a golf!
You are missing a block off bung that plugs that outlet. Can't remember the part number atm...

The plug part number is 056 129 777
